He acts as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on inbound and outbound transactions, tax structuring, and controversies, as well as on wealth and succession planning for private clients. Throughout his career, Ashish has worked with a wide range of clients, including startups, multinational corporations, foreign educational institutions, EdTech and pharmaceutical companies, not-for-profits, listed companies, and gaming companies. His deep experience spans advising on international tax and exchange control matters, assisting businesses with structuring and restructuring operations, and navigating complex regulatory landscapes. In addition to his tax expertise, Ashish is well-versed in providing advice on treaty benefits, withholding tax implications, and managing international tax disputes.

He has represented clients in high-profile cases before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and Tribunals, particularly in areas such as indirect transfer tax, transfer pricing, and other international tax controversies. His FEMA practice is equally robust, where he advises on new Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) regulations, the Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) issues, and import-export regulations, and represents clients in compounding matters.
